Well here’s the final piece, very loose for me but quite pleased with it. Now to paint the parents, both doctors with the nhs

Artist Tom Croft started this idea, on Instagram, of painting a free portrait for nhs workers. So I thought I’d have a go. This is the start. I was allocated a doctor and she mentioned her husband, who is also a doctor, so I said I’d paint him as well. She then said that she was embarrassed as she was only doing her job but would love a portrait of her children, hence I’m now painting three! This is the start so it’s WIP and there’s loads to do.

Weeping Angel 2

Another in the Weeping Angel series.  There are six in this group and the two posts so far are at the top of the arrangement.

Mirror

Had this idea of an image behind an eroded mirror. So I picked up a cheap mirror in a charity shop and eroded and aged the back. Then I painted a small oil portrait and placed it behind. Everything was going well until I started to fit it together again. On tightening the holding screw I heard a crack and you can see the result. 
Still I quite like the idea so I may go further with this.
